Mixed Media Monday: Surely The Stars...

Hi, Cathi here with a layout for Mixed Media Monday! I just recently bought the great Art Textures Cling Stamp Set and have had a great time here trying out my new Tropical Gelatos using the bubble wrap and coffee stain textures on my background! I also used the gorgeous Prima doily mask that was included in the November Nesting Component Kit. I stamped and colored the background with the gelatos, I think I will be using these more often!! I love the soft subtle texture the stamping gives you with the gelatos.

Here you can see more of the gelato coloring and doily masking as well as the gorgeous text stamp from the Text Melange Cling Stamp Set. I have also used the gorgeous Blue Fern Twiggy Branch chipboard in its natural raw state. I have added a gorgeous Prima nest, bird and flowers from my stash!

For the title of my layout I used the sweet quote from the Stars Cling Stamp Set, adding a few bark stars to my embellishment cluster to add a little extra detail...

There are a lot of new projects up on the blog now that Christmas is gone, we seem to be craving lighter color pallettes!!

Hope you will check out some more mixed media work from Irit:

Scrapbook Saturday: add tag to your layout and BE HAPPY

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today and this is my " Made by mistake" layout. Really. I was sure that I need to make a Mixed Media day post, so I made a fancy Mixed Media tag with a lot of PWP products.
Then I discovered that I made a huge mistake and actually I need to post a layout. But then there is no time left to make a whole stamped page, so I decided to make " use whatever you have" page and this lovely piece was born.
Here is a tag I made.

The full lo is out due to print publication

My niece's lovely photo is just a perfect fit to our PWP clip image as you can see.
And the sentiment is just a great fit to the clip bird image too.
So as you can see even a tag made by mistake can be great as a main embellishment part of your scrap page.
And here is a list of products used for this project (over the tag only, but still a lot of them)

Themed Thursday- Sea Malange

Hello everyone, It's Amber here with this weeks Themed Thursday post! Hope you all had a wonderful time with the family yesterday! Today I will be showing you a card I created with the large Sea Malange Cling Stamp Set that can be found in the shop HERE. I used three different stamps form the set, two images and one sentiment.

This is another one of my favorite sets because of all the different images, there 11 stamps to choose from in this stamp set. For this card I used the beautiful mermaid as my focal point by adding my blue cardstock and patterned paper around her. I also used one of the two sentiments from the set and stamped it directly onto my patterned paper.  For a fun touch I stamped one of the adorable little fish onto a white tag and added it to the left side of my card with a bow. You can see a close up of these below.

Tutorial Tuesday: Stamping in a Circle

Hi everyone, Katie here! Today I wanted to share a fun technique for stamping inside of a stencil or mask. I made a Christmas card using this technique, but since Christmas is tomorrow you are probably through with the Christmas card making. You can use this technique for so many things- not just Christmas!

For my card I used the Sacred Geometry Stamp Set and the Snapshot Framer Stamp Set which has some great Christmasy words that worked perfectly for my card.

Here's how I made my card:

1. Use a premade stencil or cut out your own circle stencil which is what I did. My circle is about 3.5" wide. Temporarily tape it to the front of your white cardstock.

2. Use your stamps to stamp in the circle, overlapping the sides of the stencil. By doing this, you'll end up with a nice circle shape when you remove the stencil.

3. Remove the stencil and admire your nice stamped circle! You can outline it if you want, but it's not necessary.

I can see this technique coming in handy for lots of things- Hearts for Valentines day, Circles for all occasions, backgrounds on layouts, etc!

Merry Christmas! I hope you have a great holiday!

Spotlight Sunday-Perfect Numbers

Happy Sunday Paper Wings Fans!  Erica here with this weeks Spotlight Sunday!  I have a huge spotlight this week on a fabulous Paper Wings Productions stamp set called Perfect Numbers!  This stamp set is a must have stamp to add to your collection!  Oh and by the way it is included in our December Nesting Components Kit!!  If you have not purchased a December Kit yet head on over to the shop and pick yours up today HERE!  Everyone needs a good number stamp and this is the one to have!  Not only do you receive the numbers but you also get all 12 months, and a ton of other great sayings and sentiments to customize your projects! The solid number images are the perfect size for all your projects and they stamp out beautifully!!  I have 3 projects to share with you today using this stamp set just to give you a few quick and easy ideas on how to use this great stamp set!  First up I have two simple but fun cards to share.  They are both 4x4 cards and are perfect to add to a gift bag or on top of a gift box!

My first card is using a piece of Pool Party card stock from Stampin Up as the base and then the wood grain pattern paper is from the 8x8 paper pad that comes in our December Nesting Components Kit and is from October Afternoons Silent Night.  I stamped the number 34 all over the pattern paper with VersaMark ink and the sprinkled embossing powder in the same color as the card base all over to create a fun background!  Next I stamped out the Happy Birthday sentiment that is also in the Perfect Numbers stamp set and then die cut it with a banner die .  I added it to the center of my card with some foam squares and then to finish it off I added a couple enamel dots and added a black border around the whole card with my black Smash marker.  The next card I made is a 10 minute card and I love how simple but classic it looks!  I love black and gold together and the glittered 50 is perfect!  I took a white card base and embossed just along the bottom with a striped embossing folder.  Next I stamped out the 50 onto a black strip with VersaMark ink, added some simple stick and heated it with my heat gun to activate it and then added my glitter!  I then added this strip to my card with foam squares and then stamped out the sentiment that also comes in the stamp set in gold ink.  To finish it off I added some fabulous gold sequins in different sizes and that's it!  Easy Peasy!
The last project I want to share with you is a page out of my Simple Stories Sn@p album.  The photos are from my sons 1st Birthday party and this stamp set is going to be perfect to help document this special day!  Here is the first page completed and I used the stamp set on my journaling card to stamp the date and the Happy Birthday.

I want to thank you for stopping by today!  I love reading all the comments and they sure do make my day!  For more projects using the Perfect Numbers stamp set please check out this post from Dana  HERE and my Scrapbook Saturday post HERE.  To purchase a December Nesting Components Kit please head on over to the Paper Wings Productions Shop or click HERE!  You do not want to pass this one up because it is a beauty!

Butterflies are free

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to PWP Feature Friday. Irit is here again and as always I try to make a different project and this time it's a home made gift wrapping.

I used a simple white paper, not even a cardstock and made my own stamped piece of patterned paper with PWP gorgeous butterfly stamps , mists and heat embossing.

Then I stamped, heat embossed and hand cut a couple of butterflies and added them over the box. Some chipboards and blings were also added over to get this fancy lovely gift box done.

And now it's your turn: get yourself some fantastic PWP products from the list below and make your own, one time only and unique  butterfly papers.

Merry & Bright & Two Christmas Tags

Hello Everyone! It's Amber here with this weeks What's Up Wednesday Post! Today I am sharing this Merry and Bright Christmas card featuring Paper Wings Productions Jolly Old St. Nick Cling Stamp and some wonderful patterned paper from ChicTags Good Tidings collection!

I really wanted to play along with all the gold accents that are in the patterned paper so I stamped my Jolly Santa in gold. Check out the close up below!

I think this is one of my all time favorite stamp sets, there are so many fun and different images to play with. So I thought it would also be fun to share these two Christmas tags I created with the same image.

I wanted to have fun creating these so I used a double stamping technique to create these. Its pretty simple, you just stamp your image in one ink color and then stamp the same image in a different ink color slightly off to the side of the first image. This gives the image and sentiment a fun holographic look .

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget we would love to see what you make with Paper Wings Productions Stamps so add your projects to our Flickr Group, to Pinterest, or leave a comment with a link to your project.
